So the biggest news is that the threateningly arctic weather in Vail did the ol' flipflop and now it's as beautiful as can be for the Teva Mountain Games. What luck!

Teva Steep Creek Race 2008

Also, competitors in Thursday's Dagger Steep Creek Race all agreed that the water in Homestake Creek has never been so high or fast.

Tao Berman clinched the win, edging Todd Anderson with a slick and super fast second run.

On the woman's side, Tanya Faux turned big splashes into monster speed to beat reigning Steep Creek champ Nikki Kelly to the top of of the podium.
