Vail: What's Going On

Teva 2008 Could Start Off Cold

The Teva Games kayakers hitting Vail's water already know what cold is. Afterall, the raging rapids in Gore Creek and the Eagle River were snow just ... uh, five minutes ago.

Temperatures for the Games, which run Thursday, June 5, through Sunday, June 8, look to kick things off cooler than usual, according to the forecast.

While things should warm up by the weekend, Thursday's events - especially the Steep Creek Race up near Red Cliff - could be a little chilly.

Don't forget your wind breakers, gloves and hats!
