Tolling of the Bells

Bronze bells mean a lot in this country - liberty, prestigiousness, something exciting happening ... Isn't it time you had your own bronze bell?

Bronze Bell-Making

The bronze pouring is FREE at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Ford Park picnic area.

The Vail Symposium and the Town of Vail's Art in Public Places is offering a bronze bell-making workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Ford Park Picnic Pavilion. The workshop is $25 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 18. The price includes the 8-inch bell you'll be able to take home.

The workshop will be followed up with a bronze pour at 8 p.m. Metal worker Mark Guilbeau of Denver's Metropolitan State College will lead the bell-making and pouring.

For reservations or more information, call the Vail Symposium at 970-476-0954.
